- I cannot believe it is April! We are on the home stretch!
- IMPORTANT DATES:
We will be taking the GA Milestone this month! We will be testing on the following dates April 21, 22, 23, and April 28 and 29! Make sure your student is getting a good healthy breakfast and a lot of sleep!!
- Math: In math we are wrapping up Geometry and moving into Fractions! Keep practicing those multiplication facts! After the break we will be practicing all areas in math to review for our GA Milestones Test!
- Mrs. Dowd: Algebraic Operations
- Mrs. L'Hoste: Numbers and Operations
- Mrs. Caro: Measurement and Data
- Mrs. Smith: Geometry
- Mrs. Andrey: Remediation
- This will allow the students to receive multiple opportunities to work with different teachers and other students within their grade. We will rotate twice a day on Monday and Thursdays in 45 minute intervals. We are very excited to try our new math system out!
- In all subjects we are targeting skills that your student may need to practice or review for the GA Milestone Test!
- Field Trips are a fun part of the school year. If you are thinking about chaperoning on a field trip you MUST be fingerprinted first before you can go on a field trip. Here are the procedures for scheduling the fingerprints/background checks: They need to take their driver's license or some form of identification. It is $47.00 per person, they accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Debit, or money orders. Please tell them this is for Brighten as a parent volunteer. Parent volunteers will need to call Deborah Couch for appointments at 770/651/2378. She does the fingerprints Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00-11:00 or 1:30-4:30.
- Parent Helpers- We are trying to organize our parent helpers- those that can take things to cut, make, or put together and those that are able to help in the classroom. If you are able to help in the classroom please let your child's teacher know what days and times are good for you in a note. We will contact you to confirm days and times. If you are able to take things home and work on them let us know so we can get that started right away.
- Always feel free to email or write a note if there are any concerns.
